The YMCA is holding a National Senior Health and Fitness Day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 31.

The day is geared toward helping seniors get to know the facility and navigate the many classes and resources available at the Y. The event is an extension of the annual Healthy Kids Day, but geared toward a different demographic. Think Pickleball demonstrations versus tie dye T-shirts and face painting.

There will also be an occupational therapist with tips on how to protect joints and use proper body mechanics to stay active.

The event is free to all. Visit ymcamv.org for more information.
