A special town meeting is set in Aquinnah next week to take up a series of small funding requests that did not make it onto the annual warrant last month, due to errors by school administrators.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the old town hall. A quorum of 35 voters is needed.
There are three articles on the warrant. Two totaling $35,000 are for the town’s share of costs to repair the heating system in the Chilmark School and installing fire alarms at the West Tisbury School.
The third article seeks voter approval to transfer the money from one restricted account — the town building and grounds stabilization fund — to the general stabilization fund.
Town administrator Jeffrey Madison explained that the vote will not affect the tax rate since the town already has the money.
Town action on the matter is needed before the start of the fiscal year on July 1.
Mr. Madison suggested that parents with school-aged children should make an effort attend the meeting.
Town moderator Mike Hebert is unavailable; Mr. Madison said this week was not known yet who will serve as a replacement.
