Three very young feral kittens recently arrived at the shelter and we are pleased to report that mothers Molly and Tess have taken them in as their own. Both moms are even allowing them to nurse. Even though we have quite a few kittens the kitten adoption list is quite long so please call to have your name added if you are interested in adopting a kitten.
The two litters of kittens and their mothers are still thriving and Tess’s kittens are ready to go to their new homes. Tess will be going to her new family once she’s been spayed. Molly, the other mom, a tabby and white with striking amber eyes, will be with her kittens for a few more weeks. She is very sweet and adores attention. She would make a fantastic family pet. Her kittens still need a few weeks before they will be ready for forever homes.
More news on the kitten front. Wilma and her four kittens are all doing as expected. Babies are growing like weeds and mama is very attentive. Wilma is a gorgeous, medium-haired black cat who has the most beautiful golden eyes that at times appear orange. She is looking for a forever home. She is a bit shy but warms up very quickly. She purrs and purrs and adores sitting by your side. Once in a home she’ll probably become a lap cat. She would make a super family pet so stop in and see if she could become the love of your life.
Our special on tuxedos is still on. Surely someone must want to own their own tuxedeo? We currently have three available. Mr. Kitty is the youngest at eight and is really more black and white than tuxedo. He’s a sweet and affectionate cat and will shower his new family with love. Chloe is 10 and the only one with no white on her face, but she has very cute white toes. She is coming out of her shell and has turned into a loving lap cat. Nesta is about 14 with classic tuxedo markings. She also seeks out attention. Come in and see if one of these tuxedos is the right fit for you.
Holly, the five-year-old tabby, is now residing in the kitty condo where she’s more comfortable. She can be somewhat standoffish and likes to set her own boundaries and rules, so she will need an understanding owner who won’t push her buttons. Is there an angel out there for Holly, someone who can find it their heart to give this girl a home?
Thank you to the Harbor View Hotel and Father Nagle for another wonderful Celebration of Pets. And many thanks to everyone who came to have their animals blessed. Hope to see you again next year.
