Sen. Edward Markey will hold a town hall meeting on Sunday, June 24 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Martha’s Vineyard Hebrew Center.

He will take questions from the audience and discuss his efforts on immigration, the opioid crisis, health care and climate change, according to an advisory from his office.

Mr. Markey, a Democrat from Malden, was elected in a special election in 2013 to fill John Kerry’s seat. He was re-elected to a full term in 2014. He previously served in the House of Representatives for 37 years.

The doors open at 3:30 p.m. The Hebrew Center is located at 130 Center street in Vineyard Haven.

Before the town hall the senator will appear at a campaign-kickoff for state Rep. Dylan Fernandes, a Democrat from Falmouth. Mr. Fernandes is running for his second term in the State House. The campaign event takes place from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the PA Club in Oak Bluffs.
