A little summertime weather has finally arrived in Aquinnah. Honeysuckle falls gently across stone walls.
The Old South Road Neighborhood Association will hold its 16th annual Fourth of July children’s parade and treasure hunt. The morning starts with face painting, coffee and donuts at the Goldfield-Mannion home at 5 Old South Road with floats lining up at the same time. The event starts at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 4 and the parade kicks off at 11 a.m. Please park on Moshup Trail.

Artist Colin Ruel will have a show with his latest paintings on July 1 at 5 p.m. at the Field Gallery.
Musician and photographer Jeremy Driesen will have an opening reception on Friday, July 6 at Simon Gallery at 54 Main street in Tisbury at 5 p.m.
Max and Cheryl Batzer have arrived for their summer sojourn at Lobsterville. Dr. Joseph Harrington and his wife Evelyn have arrived from Andover for a few days to visit with her son Jason Widdiss and grandson Carl Hustler Widdiss.
Noah Manning and his friend Zach Macey returned home on Saturday after attending the Dave Matthews concert at the Infinity Center in Mansfield on Friday evening.
Welcome to Aquinnah police officer Patrick Souza who has arrived for the summer to work in Aquinnah. Patrick is from Falmouth and previously worked for the Steamship Authority.

Neighbor Harold Wolozin will be 98 on July 7 and shares the day with Steve Yaffe and my granddaughter Marianne Spiller.
