Friday’s the night, August 17, when the skies above Oak Bluffs light up in color. The annual Oak Bluffs fireworks begin around 9 p.m., with a band concert beginning at 8 p.m. on the Ocean Park Gazebo. The event is hosted by Oak Bluffs Fireman’s Civic Association.

Gather early to find parking and get a good spot on the Ocean Park lawn. Parking is available in Waban Park (off Seaview and Nantucket Avenues and and Sunset Park (across from Our Market on New York avenue). This cost is $10 for parking, and cars must be moved by midnight.
