On Saturday, Jan. 12 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. the West Tisbury Library will host an exhibit called Beneath the Barcode presented by Media Voices for Children.

Beneath the Barcode is a documentary photo exhibit by U. Roberto (Robin) Romano that raises awareness about the issue of child labor through photographs of those on the front lines of coffee plantations, factories and farms.

The exhibit will be installed on Jan. 10, and will be on display throughout the month.

Media Voices for Children’s most recent project was Children of Bal Ashram, featuring rescued child laborers and their path to activism.
