We start with some good news this week. Ninja the rabbit has moved on to his forever home where his new best friend is a Labrador retriever. And our tabby Holly has an adoption pending, fingers crossed for her.

A lovely calico cat has come for a stay at the shelter. Her name is Daisy and she came in as a stray. She’s six to eight years old and is a real sweetie. She’s currently being treated for an upper respiratory infection but is on the mend. Come meet Daisy, she could be your valentine.

Onyx, the black long-haired Abyssinian guinea pig, is still hoping for a new forever home. He’s getting tired of the scenery at the shelter, has been hand raised, and is as friendly as could be actually seeking out affection. And he loves to sing when he’s happy. Is it in your heart to give this guy a good home?

We have a special needs cat that would be a great addition to any home. The Earl of Cecil is only six, he’s solid black with luminous green eyes and the sweetest disposition ever. We believe he suffered a stroke or a seizure and now has limited vision. He’d love to be your valentine.

Love animals and enjoy spending time around them? The shelter is looking for a part-time employee who is well versed in website administration. Please contact Lisa at 508-627-8662 to set up an interview.

We are always taking jewelry donations for our summer garden party.

We still need adult volunteers to answer the phone and meet and greet people on Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons. If interested, give us a call or stop by for more information. And if anyone needs crates or dog food, please stop in to pick some up. We have an abundance of both and are happy to share.
