A dog came and went within a half hour. Rusty is a hound mix. That’s the way we like to place them. Congratulations to Rusty and his new family.

Sadly the tabby cat Holly’s pending adoption has fallen through due to her not-so-svelte figure. But she is getting friendlier by the day, so come meet her and see if she could be the girl for you.

Calico Daisy has been adopted and will go to her new home in a week or so.

Onyx, the black, long-haired Abyssinian guinea pig, is still hoping for a new home. He’s getting bored at the shelter and needs a change of scenery. He’s been hand raised and is as friendly as could be. He seeks out attention and he loves to sing when he’s happy. Is it in your heart to give this guy a good home?

We have a special needs cat that would be a great addition to any home. The Earl of Cecil is six, solid black with luminous green eyes and a sweet disposition. We believe he suffered a stroke or a seizure and now has limited vision. He’d love to be your valentine. Come meet him and fall in love.

The shelter is proud to announce a new fund: Hubbard’s Cupboard, founded by Eleanor Hubbard to pay for medical care for animals adopted from the shelter whose families are unable to afford care. Please consider supporting this needed fund with a donation.

Come join our team. The shelter is looking for a part-time employee who is well versed in website administration. Contact Lisa at 508-627-8662 to set up an interview.

We still need adult volunteers to answer the phone and meet and greet people on Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons. Give a call or stop by for more information.

And as always, if anyone needs any crates or dog food, please stop in to pick some up.
