The former chief executive officer of the Martha’s Vineyard hospital has left a post he took at a community hospital in Alaska a little over a year ago.
Joe Woodin announced his resignation as chief executive officer of the South Peninsula Hospital on April 16, according to the Homer News in Homer, Alaska.
A press release from the hospital said Mr. Woodin cited “unanticipated circumstances that prevent him from remaining in the position,” the newspaper said.
Mr. Woodin served as president and CEO at the Vineyard hospital for 13 months beginning in 2016. He was fired in June 2017. Hospital board leaders at the time cited differing visions as the reason. A breach of contract lawsuit was later settled.
Mr. Woodin began work in Alaska in 2018.
