Well the weekend weather had more than an average shower or two on Sunday and below average temperature. In fact April was horribly rainy.

The orioles (birds that is) will return to town soon. The late Emma Whiting had records to prove that they always return by May 12 and bird watchers will be keeping a sharp eye out for them.

Sunday is Cinco de Mayo and Sharkey’s will have specials.

The 32nd Big Chili contest takes place next Friday at the P.A. Club in Oak Bluffs.

Phyllis Meras of Music street returned home Tuesday after a business trip to New York city.

Sig Van Raan and his wife Susan are delighted to announce the engagement of our daughter, Sofia to her longtime boyfriend, Zach Murray. They are planning a June 2020 wedding on Martha’s Vineyard. Son Jackson recently left for a seasonal position at the Omega Institute in upstate New York.
