The Vineyard girls tennis team earned a trip to the finals of the south sectional division 2 tournament by knocking off number two seed and previously undefeated Old Rochester.

The third seeded Vineyarders wasted no time in securing the win after sweeping the three singles matches: Kelly Klaren, first singles, 6-0, 6-0; Victoria Scott, second singles, 6-2, 6-2; Hannah Rabasca, third singles, 6-1, 6-0.

Molly Pogue and Chesca Potter won at first doubles 7-6, 4-6, 10-4 (tie break). The second doubles team of Alexandra Rego and Karinne Navala lost 6-4, 6-4.

The team plays in the finals against Dover-Sherborn on Wednesday at 4 p.m. at Plymouth South High School.
