This week Milo, the Australian Shepard mix, went on to his new home. And Lola will be having her surgery next week and then move on to her forever home next month. We’ve also had two Guinea Pig adoptions; baby Zippy has been adopted as well as the gray and white male.

We have a number of cats waiting for that special someone to come for them. Mistique is a two-year old, indoor, dilute tortoiseshell who is a real lover. She adores being held and snuggling in a lap. Spenser is a seven-year old, indoor tabby. She’s still confused about her surroundings but is a very sweet girl.

If you’re looking for a male kitty you can’t go wrong with Mr. Adventure. He’s orange, 13 years old, very friendly and a smaller boy. Mr. Softee was brought to us by animal control from the Lambert’s Cove Inn, where he’d been visiting the dining room. He seems to be someone’s pet. He does have a collar, is super friendly, young, and would really like to go home.

Who wants a Guinea Pig(s)? We currently have three youngsters in need of homes. All of these piggies have been hand raised and enjoy being held and played with.

Where is someone for Holly? She is still here waiting and it’s been well over a year. She’s a six-year old tabby who needs a good deal of personal space and would do best as an only cat in a quiet household. She loves to play and is attentive.

We have a special needs cat that would be a great addition to any home. The Earl of Cecil is only six. He’s solid black with luminous green eyes, and the sweetest disposition ever. We believe he suffered a stroke or a seizure and now has very limited vision. However, he has no trouble getting around and is a real snuggle puss.

If anyone is in need of dog food or crates, we have plenty and are happy to share.

Don’t forgot about the annual Garden Party on Monday, June 24. This year it will be held the Daggett House in Edgartown from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Visit the shelter website to bid on silent auctions items. The top item is a trip for two to the Galapagos Islands.
