The block-party, happy birthday celebration for the town of Tisbury — formally known as the Tisbury Street Fair — arrives again on Monday, July 8.
The event began in 1971, when the town celebrated 300 years of history with a parade and street fair. The official parade may have stopped but not the parade of people in town. The annual celebration draws 5,000 to 6,000 to Main street to shop, eat, listen to music and more.
The party rolls from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. with parking and buses awaiting at the regional high school lot.
