The Martha’s Vineyard Chamber Music Society opens its 49th summer season on Monday, July 15 with Quartet San Francisco performing at the Old Whaling Church, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Quarter San Francisco consists of Andrés Vera, cello, Joseph Christianson, violin, Chad Kaltinger, viola and Jeremy Cohen, violin.

The summer season alternates shows between the Old Whaling Church and the Chilmark Community Center. This program is billed as Four Quartets for Four Summer Evenings.

Next up on Tuesday, July 23 at the Chilmark Community Center is the All Star Piano Quartet featuring Alyssa Park, violin, Timothy Loo, cello, Scott Woolweaver, viola and Delores Stevens, piano. Ms. Stevens is also the artistic director of the chamber music society.

On Monday, August 5 the Harlem String Quartet performs at the Old Whaling Church, featuring Ilmar Gavilán, violin, Melissa White, violin, Jaime Amador, viola and Felix Umansky, cello.

And for the final show, the Verona Quartet, featuring Dorothy Ro, violin, Abigail Rojansky, viola, Jonathan Ong, violin and Jonathan Dormand, cello, performs on Tuesday, August 13 at the Chilmark Communty Center.
