Julie Fay, executive director of Martha’s Vineyard Community Services, will speak on Sunday, July 28, following the 9:30 church service at the Federated Church in Edgartown. The event is part of the Federated Church’s Community Partner program.

Ms. Fay will share information on services provided and the plans for future development at Community Services which was begun in 1961 to address the lack of mental health services and service providers on the Island.

Community Services programs include an early childhood program that provides day care for 55 children and an outpatient mental health center offering individual and family therapy and a recovery coaching program assisting Islanders seeking to maintain sobriety. In addition, Community Services is integral to the Island-wide Youth Collaborative, which aims to support behavioral health among young people on the Island.
