The Island Climate Action Network will hold a series of talks this fall that will focus on strategies for Martha’s Vineyard in the face of climate change.

Titled Climate Solutions-Looking to the Future with Climate in Mind, the six talks will be held at the West Tisbury and Oak Bluffs libraries.

Be Emergency Wise opens the series on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 4 p.m. at the West Tisbury Library. The talk will be repeated on Oct. 26 at the Oak Bluffs Library, beginning at 2:30 p.m..

Subsequent talks will be held monthly, including Adapting to the Impacts of Climate Change in November; Aiming for All-Electric Structures in December; Powering All Transportation with Electricity in January; Growing More Food, Composting More Waste in February; and Becoming a 100 per cent Renewable Energy Island in March.
