St. Francis loved the animals, that much is well known. That he loved to party is perhaps lesser known, but then again he is the patron saint of stowaways, among others.

To celebrate the gentle spirit there will be a Feast of St. Francis potluck party on Friday, Oct. 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Aquinnah town hall.

The event is a benefit for the Aquinnah youth music and song classes at Community Baptist Church. Sean McMahon, Siren Mayhew-McMahon and Isaac Taylor will perform.

Bring a dish or dessert to share. Tea, lemonade and water provided.
