This year’s Crop Walk is Sunday, October 20 beginning at 2 p.m.

The six-mile walk begins and ends at St. Augustine’s Church in Vineyard Haven with a half-way stop for refreshments and rest at Trinity Methodist Church in the Camp Ground in Oak Bluffs. And if six miles seem daunting, anyone can participate in part of the walk.

This is the 29th annual Martha’s Vineyard Crop Hunger Walk, which raises funds for both local and international charities devoted to helping those facing food insecurity. Over the last 28 years, the Island walk has raised $498,643. Twenty-five per cent of funds raised each yeard benefit the Island Food Pantry and the Vineyard Committee on Hunger.
