The Vineyard Health Care Access Program will celebrate its 20th anniversary with a community gathering on Thursday, Oct. 24 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Grange Hall in West Tisbury. The gathering is open to the public.

Established in 1999 by the Dukes County Health Council, the program helps Islanders to enroll in affordable insurance every year. It also helps people who need to find a doctor or dentist, can’t afford prescription drugs or need help with Medicare related issues.

The event will feature refreshments, music and an appearance by Cape and Islands Rep. Dylan Fernandes. Sponsors include Cronig’s Market and the Martha’s Vineyard Bank.
