We have lots of adoption news this week. Rudy, the pit bull/beagle mix, found his forever home with a wonderful family. Doc, the long-haired, black cat has also moved on to his new home, and so has Tyson the Guinea pig. Best wishes to all of them. And our double pawed calico, Cali, has an adoption pending. Let’s keep this streak of adoptions going. We’re looking for a young family for a five-year old, neutered, male bichon frise. Buddy absolutely adores children and needs to be in a home with children. He’s up to date on his shots, gets along with cats, and is a real sweetie. Think of the fun you and your kids could have with this boy, who has hair rather than fur. Come meet him and see if a match is made.

Who wants a tabby cat? We have males and females, young or older to suit your preferences. Mr Softee/Lambert is only two years of age and ready to go. He’s polydactyl, indoor/outdoor, and has a super soft coat. This is a very friendly cat.

Tootsie is tabby and white, six years old and indoor/outdoor as well. She can be sweet and affectionate, or stand-offish, depending on her mood. But if she likes you she’ll be a sweetheart.

Carly is seven and needs to be an only cat since she really enjoys her food and could lose a bit of weight. She’s very friendly, even comes when called, and loves attention.

Holly is six and spending time in the lobby greeting people. Since she’s been out and about she’s become much more trusting and is seeking out affection. She gets along with dogs as well. She should really blossom in a loving home. And then we have the old man Micky. He’s tabby and white, very sweet, and looking for a comfy place to spend his final years.

We have two more cats in need of homes. Mr. Adventure is an awesome, orange male. He’s 13years young and couldn’t be a nicer cat. He still enjoys playing and just wants someone to share his love with. And, of course, everyone loves Lucy. She’s a four-year old calico with beautiful pale blue eyes. Lucy is a real lap cat, she loves to snuggle and she purrs away.

Please join us on Friday, Nov. 8 at 5:30 at the P.A. Club for a hootenanny fund raiser to celebrate 1,000 Lives, Loves and Tails. This party is in honor of the fact that the ASMV has found homes for over 1,000 animals since its inception in 2009. Live music will be provided by Maggie’s Kitchen.

Thank you to Jeremy Jones for our K9 Kindergarten classes.

We still need adult volunteers to answer the phone and meet and greet people on Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons. If interested give us a call or stop by for more information.
