It’s been a great week for adoptions. Two of the tabby cats, Carly and Mr. Softee/Lambert, were adopted together. The calico Lucy, with the pale blue eyes, has a family for her to love and be adored by, and petite calico, Cali, has moved to a home in the woods in West Tisbury.

We’re looking for a young family for a five-year old, neutered, male bichon frise. Buddy adores children. He’s up to date on his shots, gets along with cats, and is a real sweetie. Think of the fun you and your kids could have with this boy, who has hair rather than fur. If you’d like to meet him please contact the Shelter to set up an appointment.

Rogue is also looking for his forever home. She’s and energetic, four-year old, hound mix described as affectionate, loyal and smart. She’s spayed and up-to-date on all her shots. She needs to be an only dog, no cats, and would be best with older children. She is still with her owner so please call the shelter to set up and appointment if you would like to meet her.

We currently have five adorable kittens available for adoption. The first two are about five to six months old, a male and a female, both up-to-date on shots. The Halloween kittens are seven-weeks old and will need to stay with us for another week. All three are boys and have been hand raised in a loving home. The two tabbies we’re calling Snickers and Twizzler, and the black one is Spooky.

We have a few more cats in need of homes. Mr. Adventure is an awesome, orange male. He’s thirteen years young and couldn’t be a nicer cat. Tootsie is tabby and white, six years old and indoor/outdoor as well. Holly is six and spending time in the lobby greeting people. And then we have the old man Mickey. He’s tabby and white, very sweet, and looking for a comfy place to spend his final years.

We still need adult volunteers to answer the phone and meet and greet people on Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons. If interested give us a call or stop by for more information.
