The kittens are almost gone, only three males left. Mojo is nine weeks old, solid black with a few white hairs on his chest. He’s been hand raised, purrs like crazy and is just adorable. Scout is four-months old, very dark brown and sweet as can be. Pumpkin is the six-month old orange boy with unusual brown eyes. All these kittens are up-to-date on shots and ready to go. Our newest resident is Muzzie, an orange and white male adopted from the shelter four years ago as a kitten. He had a wonderful life until his owner passed away and he’s found his way back here. He’s an indoor cat and he has that wonderful orange male personality. He is also up to date on everything and ready to go to his new forever home. He’s very sad and confused so please come for this doll sooner rather than later.

Our older cats in need of homes include Tootsie, a six-year old tabby and white, who is an indoor/outdoor cat. She can be sweet and affectionate or stand-offish, depending on her mood. Holly is six and since spending more time loose in the shelter has really started to mellow. She should really blossom in a loving home. And then we have the old man Mickey. He’s tabby and white, very sweet, indoor/outdoor and looking for a comfy place to spend his final years.

Please join us on Friday, Nov. 8 at 5:30 p.m. at the P.A. Club for a hootenanny to thank the community for their support, and to celebrate 1,000 Lives, Loves and Tails. This party is in honor of the fact that the ASMV has found homes for over 1,000 animals since its inception in 2009. Live music will be provided by Maggie’s Kitchen String Band.
