While still a month away it’s never to early to start practicing your lip sync moves. There are songs to pick, steps to learn and hips to swivel. And it’s all for a good cause.

On March 7 from 7 to 10 p.m., Friends of Family Planning is hosting a lip sync contest at the Portuguese American Club in Oak Bluffs. There will be prizes — $500 for first place, $250 for second and $100 for third — and of course bragging rights.

Strut like Mick Jagger, coo with the doves like Stevie Nicks, go goth with Billie Eilish or bust a move with Young MC — the choices are endless. Go solo or with a team. And win, lose or fall down, all proceeds benefit Friends of Family Planning.
