The YMCA of Martha’s Vineyard is offering more than 40 free group exercise classes online, director of advancement Sarah Murphy told the Gazette this week. The number of classes has grown since the Y closed its doors last month due to the coronavirus pandemic, she said.

Participants do not have to be Y members to join the classes, which take place on the Zoom live video platform. Zumba, Pilates, Tai Chi, yoga, high-intensity interval training and prenatal exercise are among the listings on the virtual fitness class schedule, which is posted at ymcamv.org/fitness-schedule.
