Morning Glory Farm is moving its anticipated farmstand opening date to May 5 at the request of the Edgartown board of health, according to announcements on the Edgartown farm’s website and social media.

This is the second date change this spring for the 45-year-old family farm, which originally announced an April 10 opening and later postponed it to May 1. Farmstand managers are changing the store layout and adding anti-virus measures such as plexiglas guards and no-touch credit card readers at the checkstands, and are planning more prepared meals and pre-packed groceries to streamline customer shopping, according to a blog post on the farm website.
