Due to Covid-19, the 18th annual Martha’s Vineyard African American Film Festival will not take place on the Island this summer, organizers announced on the festival website this week.

“After extensive consultation with all of our partners we have decided to postpone the 2020 MVAAFF and pivot the festival to October 6-10 in Denver, Colo.,” festival founders Floyd and Stephanie Rance wrote.

The Rances said the festival would return to the Island August 6 through August 14, 2021.
