The Mobile Market from Island Grown Initiative will begin making its rounds of Island towns the first Monday in July, according to an announcement from Island Grown.
Stocked with affordable Island produce and eggs, the truck-based market will visit five locations weekly, with advance ordering available online at mobilemarketorders.square.site:
- Monday: Oak Bluffs Library, 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Pick-ups for online orders start at 4:30 p.m.
- Tuesday: Aquinnah tribal housing, 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Pick-ups begin at 4:30 p.m.
- Thursday: St. Augustine's Church in Vineyard Haven, 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Pick-ups start at 4:30 p.m.
- Friday: Martha's Vineyard Hospital, 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Pick-ups begin at 2:30 p.m.
- Friday: Woodside Village, delivery only.
Masks, social distancing and santitizing are required. SNAP users are welcome and eligible for a dollar-for-dollar match to buy vegetables and fruits.
Mobile Market coupons, valid for $5 in produce, are available to any organization that wishes to purchase and distribute them, according to the Island Grown announcement. The coupons have no expiration date.
