A socially-distanced Independence Day parade honoring essential workers will step off in Aquinnah at 10 a.m. July 4, according to a town announcement and poster.

Families are encouraged to decorate their vehicles and take part. The best float wins a prize.

Parade vehicles should begin lining up at 9:30 a.m. on Moshup Trail at Old South Road, heading for the cliffs. 

A special parade soundtrack will air on radio station WMVY, 88.7 FM as the parade winds through town, where spectators can watch from their driveways. Watchers are asked to bserve social distancing and wear masks as appropriate.
