Martha's Vineyard Hospital now has a doctor of podiatry. Dr. Regina M. Mostone, DPM is accepting new patients, according to a hospital announcement.

With more than 30 years of experience, Dr. Mostone formerly practiced at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Lowell General Hospital and is certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons as well as the American Board of Podiatric Medicine, according to the announcement, which also notes that she has a longstanding Island relationship with family in Aquinnah.

Addiing a podiatrist is part of the hospital's clinical optimization plan, which uses data and research to identify the medical needs of the Island population, according to the announcement.
