Aquinnah voters returned Juli Vanderhoop to office as a selectmen for the next three years at the annual town election Wednesday.

A total of 71 voters turned out to vote; there are 388 registered. There were no contests on the ballot.

A hand sanitation station greeted voters in the old town hall on a muggy day. Free masks were available for anyone who needed one.

Aquinnah still uses a wooden hand-cranked ballot box that is more than 100 years old.

Ms. Vanderhoop got 61 votes and was re-elected to her third term.

Town clerk Gabriella Camilleri was top vote getter with 71 votes.

Ms. Camilleri said election day went smoothly. “It went great, very easy and simple,” she said.

Also elected without contest were:

Marjorie Spitz, library trustee (69); James Wallen and Thomas Murphy, planning board (63, 58); Sarah Saltonstall, board of health (56).
