Island artist Margot Datz, well known for her public works and landmark murals such as the Old Whaling Church, hosts her annual one-day art show at Grange Hall in West Tisbury on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Titled Into the BeWilderment, the show features Ms. Datz's latest paintings in a collection of antique frames, as well as prints of her popular artwork.

"I vowed I would not paint about Covid. Anything BUT Covid," Ms. Datz said in a statement. "But what I discovered was that as I painted from my heart, the way our culture is wrestling with so many issues did indeed influence my paintings, not in a literal way, but in a kind of fairy tale way. We are in uncharted territory, like Hansel and Gretel lost in the woods, finding our ways. This inspired my work this year.”

Masks are required at the socially distanced Grange Hall event, which will include refreshments served outside on the porch. Previews of the art are available by appointment by calling 508-330-8246 or emailing margotdatz@gmail.com.
