Yay, it finally rained. Not enough to make a difference but it was something. But the weekend was beautiful and I know there were many happy brides.

Even though we had a very different summer, it seemed to go by so fast. We are now enjoying the fall weather, and the Patriots are back, it is getting dark sooner than later, and it is dark as we wake in the morning. We are settling in with the new shows coming on and catching up with our old shows we wanted to watch and could not. Thank goodness for recordings.
Now we are preparing for what we hope will be a little normal fall and winter. We don’t know what will happen but, I see people trying to figure how the kids can have Halloween.
Thanksgiving is coming and I can tell you that there is only 13 more Fridays until Christmas. I know, I know, how can I think of that, but we are always so rushed when we come to the season. I feel that we might have more time this year to dedicate to Christmas, seeing that we are home more now. I know that a lot of the normal activities will not happen this year, but I am hoping people will take into consideration putting lights and decorations outside this year. It would be great for people to be able to drive around and enjoy the season in some way.
It was great to see Jon Kresel who was here for the weekend to fish with his brother Josh. They got a lot of fishing in and Jon caught a nice bonito to weigh in, and got a second place in the daily prizes. I got to enjoy the reap of that harvest, as they gave me the fish. It was so good and I enjoyed every bit of it. I also enjoyed my visit with both men as they were my next-door neighbors for many years.
Don’t forget to check the library for virtual courses and activities. There are people learning a new language through one of their programs. If you need something to try out and keep you busy, check out the programs at the library.
Have a great week and keep the home candles burning.
