Martha’s Vineyard Bank has announced that Robert (Bob) Mone was elected as a corporator of the Bank at the annual meeting of bank corporators last month.

Mr. Mone is the owner and operator of Mone Insurance, which he founded in 1996. Earlier, he spent more than 20 years as a fish broker, according to the bank announcement. He and his wife, Gayle, are full-time residents of the Vineyard.

“Mr. Mone’s extensive background and knowledge will certainly make a positive contribution to the success of the Bank as we navigate forward," bank president and CEO James M. Anthony said in a statement. "We are very pleased to welcome Mr. Mone and are grateful that he has agreed to be a part of our Martha’s Vineyard Bank community.”
