MV Community Services has used a Martha's Vineyard Vision fellowship grant to hire Joanne Lambert for the new position of Family Child Care Network Coordinator, according to an announcement from MVCS. The goal of the grant is to provide support for existing licensed family child care  programs and to encourage more programs to open.

With a degree in human development from Lesley University, a national Child Development Associate certification and 24 years of experience as a licensed family child care provider, Ms. Lambert is charged with finding resources for family child care programs, such as curriculum supplies and professional development opportunities, as well as assisting with licensing issues and day-to-day challenges, according to the announcement. Ms. Lambert also works with people interested in becoming family child care providers and/or accelerating their career paths in early childhood education.
