Summertime heat and humidity have arrived. No more complaining about the chill in the air. The beaches are the place to be. Honeysuckle is in full bloom and fragrant as always.

The Haughton family is excited that Sandy LoFaro was married on the family property off Lobsterville Road on June 25. Sandy is the daughter of Patty Haughton LoFaro and Brian Miles and the granddaughter of Anne and Ron Haughton. Patty had been working the last couple of months to make the property look better than it has ever looked. Mom and Dad would be so pleased. Sandy’s ceremony was held on the Bernstein property just below the Haughton family home, as it has a spectacular view of Menemsha Pond. The reception was at the Haughton property. It was a very small wedding for immediate family and all was planned with COVID restrictions in mind. Leslie Haughton Zemsky, who was married there 37 years ago almost to the day, was the wedding planner and flower arranger as well as photographer. Their immediate families enjoyed the week exploring the Vineyard together. The groom’s family enjoyed staying at the Wallen House on Clay Pit Road.

Jan Haughton Tracy and her husband Tom will arrive this weekend for a three-week stay.

Lon especially enjoying swimming and fishing during his summers as a youth.
