Our own Kate Taylor was interviewed on MVYRadio this past Monday in anticipation of her new album and upcoming concert on Martha’s Vineyard!

Our M.V. Book Festival opens on Thursday, August 5. Purchase tickets on line. So busy! Mark your calendar.

I so admire Doug McConnell. He attempted another swim from Nantucket to Martha’s Vineyard, as he did in 2019. He was 3/4 of through when currents became dangerous. He ended but has vowed to return. Doug has crossed the English Channel, the Catalina Channel, swam around Manhattan, to name a few of his many accomplishments. He is not giving up!

My favorite seaweed collage artist, Kathy Poehler, has a new exhibit at the Old Sculpin Gallery in Edgartown. It runs July 24 through July 30. This is a must see!

My new caregiver and assistant was treated to music at the gazebo in Oak Bluffs on Sunday night by my friend Sharon Fisher. Tac is loving island life!

The Possible Dreams auction is Sunday, July 25th at 5 p.m. Seth Meyers is the auctioneer. It will be livestreamed by MVYRadio from the historic Tilton Farm on North Road. All bidding will be online and begins Friday, July 23. This is the largest annual fundraiser for our Martha’s Vineyard Community Services, which my good friend Milton Mazer began so many years ago. Please attend.

I am sad to say that my friend Ednaldo Ferriere, Jr. lost two of his grandparents in Brazil over the last two months. Our condolences to the family.

Anniversary bouquets went out to Carrington and Kia Carter on July 17.

The birthday bandwagon pulled along Patty Pachico on July 19. On July 20, Susan Shea and Carlos Santana took the cake. Many happy returns.
