The Chicken Alley Art & Collectibles Sale is postponed because of the Delta variant. We hope we will see it in October. This annual benefit covers part of the cost to run Martha’s Vineyard Community Services.

The Patriots won last Thursday. Hopefully we’ll see a repeat on Thursday, August 19. Seems like a good and cohesive team this year.

My dear friend Frances Down, who lived in our town for so long, visited for a quick three days last week. Frances and her daughter Nancy, a.k.a. Angel of the Airwaves, did not travel alone. They brought children, grandchildren, and great-grands. They spent their stay at the campgrounds. They had a great but rainy stay. Same time, next year?

Get well wishes to my friend Sandy Ferreira. She is up for another knee replacement.

The birthday bandwagon pulled along Carolyn Walters on August 15. Melissa Dolby and Jacquie Callahan celebrated on August 17. And on August 19, Jeff Pratt and Bill Clinton take the cake. Many happy returns.
