Though the summer season activities at the Chappy Community Center are over, yoga class with Jay continue. Every Sunday through mid-December, Jason Mazar-Kelly (YogiJay) will teach from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Sign up on the center’s website. There are many options for attendance.

The Trustees of Reservations are busy on Chappy. The fishing derby will keep the beaches active with fisherfolks. See The Trustees’ website for oversand vehicle permits and use regulations.

Lindsay Allison will lead a discovery and exploration tour of Mytoi Garden this Friday from 1 to 2 pm. Ever wonder why there’s a Japanese garden on Chappy? She will tell you. Advance on-line registration is recommended.

Cape Poge Lighthouse tours are scheduled for Wednesday through Sunday these days with three tours per day, starting at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. Have a nice ride along the beach and climb up the spiral staircase of the wooden lighthouse into the beacon room. Spectacular view! Sign up on-line.

Do you have guests but not enough kayaks to get them all out of the house at once for several hours of peace and quiet? Think of peace and quiet for you at home and for your guests paddling around Pocha Pond. The Trustees have plenty of equipped kayaks for rent at the Dike Bridge. Do it soon. They put the kayaks away at the end of Sept. Sign up on-line.
