Hurricane Larry left us with some windy days this past weekend, but it was warm and easy to work in. The humidity is promised to return for a few more days and I will be glad when it is over. But fall days are coming and they are the best.
Big balloons go out to all who celebrated their day this past week. I am waiting for the birthday list from the school.
I congratulate Paulee Davis on her retirement from the school. I am sure she and her husband Doug will have a great time traveling.
I went to the Stop & Shop and then Morning Glory. I was in shock as I actually saw people I knew and you could get to the shelves. I was actually smiling when I left. But I did spend more money than usual because I could see everything, some I needed and some not.
I saw a sign that said, “We interrupt this marriage for fishing season.” This is so true now as the derby has officially started. Dinners will be late and breakfasts early. Depends on the tide and which way the wind is blowing. I will good luck to all you fisherman.
Not only is it fishing season but, also, the Patriots are on. It is a new season and things are crowded at the stadium. We look forward to seeing what Mac Jones is going to bring us this season.
I hate to say it but I saw that there are only 15 Fridays till Christmas. It seems so far away but when you count the number of paychecks to the day, it is not so long. My workmate Paula said today that she is starting to shop next month because the shipping was so bad last year. I always say I am starting early but it never happens.
I think there is something exciting about the Christmas rush. At least it sounds good.
Have a great week and keep the home candles burning.
