Clare Doyle of New York city is the grand prize winner in the Vineyard Gazette’s Golden Ticket contest.

Ms. Doyle was chosen at random from the 54 people who reported finding a golden ticket hidden in an issue of the Gazette during the month of August.

In honor of its 175th anniversary, the Vineyard Gazette placed 175 golden tickets in random copies of the Gazette — both subscriber and newsstand — over the course of five weeks. Those who reported finding a ticket will receive a special edition anniversary chocolate bar, custom made for the Gazette by Enchanted Chocolates. They were also automatically entered into a grand prize drawing.

As grand prize winner, Ms. Doyle will receive a two-night stay at the Mansion House, dinner for two at Alchemy restaurant, two tickets to the Martha’s Vineyard Oyster Fest, a private charter sail courtesy of Catboat charters and a one-year subscription to the Vineyard Gazette.
