The 2022 Chappaquiddick Community Center calendars are available for ordering online through the center’s website. You can choose to have them mailed to you or arrange a pick-up at the center. According to Tina Humber-Floyd, they are selling like hotcakes. There are 14 fabulous photos by the winners of the calendar photo contest, one for each month as well as the front and back covers. Every summer rental and every college dorm room ought to have one hanging on the wall. Congratulations to Hal Dvorak for winning the cover spot.

It’s nearly the end of the income tax year. Please consider a donation to the Cressy Building Fund, which was created especially for the purpose of maintaining the aging Chappaquiddick Community Center building through needed repairs, making capital improvements and replacing critical equipment. You can also make a general operating expense donation. Both can be done online.

An endowment fund has also been created to provide for the long-range financial stability of the center. Find the information for contributing in the Support Us pull-down tab.

Last spring, Paul O’Donnell installed a lending library cabinet in the community center’s front yard. Leave a book, take a book, trade a book. The cabinet is a beautiful piece of woodworking.

Because of continuing concerns over indoor gatherings and Covid, no plans have been made for Thanksgiving at the center. We have hopes that a Christmas activity will be possible. Stay tuned to the community center’s Instagram and Facebook pages for announcements.
