Unfortunately, we have no adoptions to report this week but we do have a number of pets awaiting new homes. Wouldn’t it be nice to have someone warm to snuggle with during these cold winter days?
This week we’re featuring Charlie, a nine-year-old, orange and white cat. Charlie came here with his brother, Willie, a tabby and white, but the two do not need to stay together. Charlie is the shyer of the two but a real love once he warms up. And he’s quite handsome as well, although both he and Willie could use to lose a few pounds. Both Charlie and Willie are up-to-date and ready to go. They’re just waiting for someone to share their love with.
Miles, the seven years old tuxedo boy, is still here and we also have our two elderly ladies, Maxine and Faith. Adoptions fees will be waived for the angels who give these two girls homes for their final days. We also have four female Guinea pigs, all very friendly, in need of homes. And a female, black and white rabbit named Pesto has just joined us. She’s been around animals her entire life, is very friendly, and is even litter box trained.
The Animal Shelter of Martha’s Vineyard is here for our community. We’re always available and our door is always open should your adoption not be a perfect fit. Also, if anyone is in need of cat food, dog food, or a crate, we have plenty and are happy to share. The Island Food Pantry also has pet food for those in need. Just give us a call during regular shelter hours.
The shelter phone number is 508-627-8662. Hours are: Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Thursday; 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 9:30 to 5 p.m.
