A truck crashed into a home on Church street in Oak Bluffs yesterday, sending its 69-year-old driver to the hospital.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a gray Ford F-150 had driven up and over the house’s porch, crashing into the building, Oak Bluffs Lieut. Nicholas Curelli told the Gazette Wednesday.

No one inside the house was harmed, but the truck’s 69-year-old driver was sent to Martha’s Vineyard Hospital for injuries.

Mr. Curelli said the names of those involved in the incident will remain confidential until a police report is completed. He added that the crash was still under investigation, but there were no signs that the truck’s driver was under the influence.

“What I can tell you is that it wasn’t speed or anything to indicate that he was intoxicated,” he said.
