Dhakir Warren, executive director at the Martha’s Vineyard Boys & Girls Club, and Christopher Celeste, owner of the MV Dairy Queen franchise, announced that Dairy Queen will contribute five per cent of all sales directly to the Boys & Girls Club to support ongoing programming for the Island’s youth and their families.

The partnership between the Boys & Girls Club and Dairy Queen is in its second year. In 2021, the business donated nearly $25,000 to the club as well as free products.

In a press release, Mr. Celeste said he chose to donate to the organization in recognition of the impact of its programs, ranging from after-school education, food security and athletics. A new component of the 2022 partnership will be an in-store community wall to highlight ongoing programs at the Boys & Girls Club.

Dairy Queen will officially reopen for the 2022 season on April 1 at 2 p.m. Spring hours will be Tuesday through Fri, 2 to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, 12 to 8 p.m.
