Eversource is hosting a Community Conversation event on May 3 to inform Vineyard residents of its plan to bring a fifth cable from Falmouth to the Island, and to replace an older (fourth) cable in order to increase local energy capacity. The company will also be retiring five diesel battery generators as part of its effort to reduce its carbon footprint.

All voices are valued and welcome in this effort to receive community feedback. The event will be held at the VFW at 14 Towanicut avenue in Oak Bluffs from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on May 3.
