The Edgartown Board of Trade and Martha’s Vineyard Film Society have been awarded grants from the state’s Travel and Tourism Recovery (TTR) Grant Program.

Edgartown Board of Trade was awarded $45,000 for the design and production of wayfinding touchstones to empower visitors to “feel (shop, dine, stay) like a local.”

Martha’s Vineyard Film Society, which operates the film center on Beach Road, was awarded $35,000 to promote three multi-day film festivals held during the spring season. Each festival will serve a unique theme and provide a platform for under-represented voices, along with diverse community attendance and participation.

The TTR Grant Pilot program supports marketing projects that embrace the My Local MA campaign, enhance tourism recovery and have the potential to increase non-resident visitation, with the overall goal of strengthening the state economy through development and enhancement of tourism. The program is awarding $4 million to 80 tourism organizations, chambers of commerce and municipalities in its spring 2022 cycle.
