Thank you for this delightful remembrance Paul! I used to house-sit for Larry and Rose when they would travel and I was so impressed by the Edgar Allan Poe Award on the mantelpiece. Did you know that Larry had been a lawyer in his earlier life?

I knew that Larry got a law degree from Columbia and practiced for a short time before turning his energies to fiction. Ironically, my dad wrote some pulp crime fiction before turning his energies to law. They both made the right choice.
