Martha’s Vineyard Hospital has been named to a list of the top-100 women-led businesses in the state for the third straight year.
Led by president and CEO Denise Schepici, the hospital came in at 27 on the list for the second year in a row. The list was compiled by a non-profit called The Women’s Edge and The Boston Globe.
In a press release, Ms. Schepici said that she was honored the hospital had been included on the list.
“I am thankful for the incredible team at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital who inspire myself and each other to bring our best to our patients, colleagues and community every day,” Ms. Schepici said.
The nomination process for the list includes both for-profit and non-profit organizations throughout the state, and considers factors such as revenue, operating budget, workplace and management diversity, board makeup and innovation.
Ms. Schepici has been CEO at the hospital for close to five years.
