The Massachusetts Sheriff’s Association (MSA) recently elected Sheriff Nick Cocchi of Hampden county as president and Sheriff Patrick McDermott of Norfolk county as vice president.

Dukes County Sheriff Robert Ogden will serve as the first associate vice president. He has served as a MSA officer since 2017.

The Massachusetts Sheriffs’ Association is a 35-year old organization. Its members are comprised of the 14 duly-elected county sheriffs serving across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Its officers are elected by their fellow sheriffs.

The three sheriffs will work with MSA members and strategic partners to educate and inform constituents about the work that sheriffs are doing statewide to enhance programs and services addressing behavioral health and substance use, women’s programming, reentry services, LGBTQ-specific programming and other issues.
